Welcome to Cardiff University and thank you for joining the Cardiff University Law Society!
My name is Betty Scott, and I’m incredibly proud to be your President for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Starting university is such an exciting time, but I completely understand that it can also feel a little overwhelming. I remember what it was like starting out, but joining Law Society was the perfect way to make friends whilst enhancing my career goals.
The Law Society is about so much more than just your degree. It’s a place to meet new people, make lifelong friends, build your confidence, and get involved in experiences that can shape your future career. Whether you’re interested in networking and careers events, mooting and advocacy, volunteering, or simply enjoying our social events, there really is something for everyone.
My biggest piece of advice is to get involved, step outside your comfort zone and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way. And if you ever have a question, need some advice, or simply don’t know where to start, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
I can’t wait to see what we achieve together this year. Here’s to an amazing, exciting and unforgettable year with Cardiff University Law Society!
