What is AGM?
It is a large forum where a wide variety of students come to debate and determine the direction of Cardiff Students’ Union, which usually takes place at the end of November. As the Students’ Union is directed by you, our student members, we use the AGM to adopt a collective stance on an issue and decide what action we will take.
The AGM is the place where students are presented with – the Students’ Union’s Annual Report. Other business to be transacted at the AGM includes:
- ratification of minutes of the previous meeting;
- receiving the accounts of the Union for the previous financial year;
- approving the list of affiliations of the Union;
- open questions to the Trustees by the Student Members;
- and any motions submitted by members.
In unusual circumstances when an urgent decision needs to be made, an Extraordinary General Meeting may also be called at another point in the year.
AGM is the forum for the officer team to be confirmed.

Mae'n fforwm mawr ble mae amrywiaeth eang o fyfyrwyr yn dod i drafod a phenderfynu cyfeiriad Undeb Myfyrwyr Caerdydd; fel arfer fe’i cynhelir tua diwedd mis Tachwedd. Gan fod Undeb y Myfyrwyr yn cael ei gyfeirio gennych chi, y myfyrwyr sy’n aelodau, rydym yn defnyddio'r cyfarfod i fabwysiadu safiad ar y cyd ar wahanol faterion a phenderfynu beth fyddwn ni’n ei wneud.
Y CCB yw'r man ble cyflwynir Adroddiad Blynyddol Undeb y Myfyrwyr i’r myfyrwyr. Mae busnes a drafodir yn y CCB yn cynnwys:
- cadarnhau cofnodion y cyfarfod blaenorol;
- derbyn cyfrifon yr Undeb ar gyfer y flwyddyn ariannol flaenorol,
- cymeradwyo’r rhestr o ymaelodaethau’r Undeb
- gofyn cwestiynau i’r Ymddiriedolwyr gan y Myfyrwyr sy’n Aelodau.
- ac unrhyw gynigion a gyflwynir gan aelodau.
Mewn amgylchiadau anarferol pan fydd angen gwneud penderfyniad brys, gellir galw Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Anghyffredin ar adeg arall o’r flwyddyn.
CCB yw'r fforwm ar gyfer cadarnhau'r tîm swyddogion.
