What is the Board of Trustees?
Trustees are elected (or selected) via the criteria established within the Union’s Articles of Association, to ensure both student leadership and the recruitment of professional expertise.
The Trustees are ultimately responsible, individually and collectively, for the Students' Union's activities. The Board has ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of an organisation, ensuring that it is well-run and delivers its charitable objectives.
The objects of the Union are the advancement of education of Students at Cardiff University for the public benefit by:
• promoting the interests and welfare of Students at Cardiff University during their course of study and representing, supporting and advising Students;
• being the recognised representative channel between Students and Cardiff University and any other external bodies; and
• providing social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities and forums for discussions and debate for the personal development of its Students.

Beth yw Bwrdd yr Ymddiriedolwyr?
Mae ymddiriedolwyr yn cael eu hethol (neu eu dethol) drwy'r meini prawf a sefydlwyd yn Erthyglau Cymdeithas yr Undeb, er mwyn sicrhau arweinyddiaeth y myfyrwyr a recriwtio arbenigedd proffesiynol.
Yr Ymddiriedolwyr, yn y pen draw, sy’n gyfrifol, yn unigol ac ar y cyd, am holl weithgareddau Undeb y Myfyrwyr. Y Bwrdd sydd â'r cyfrifoldeb eithaf am gyfarwyddo gweithgareddau a thrafodion y mudiad, sicrhau ei fod yn cael ei redeg yn dda a'i fod yn cyflawni ei amcanion elusennol.
Amcanion yr Undeb yw cyfoethogi addysg myfyrwyr Prifysgol Caerdydd er budd y cyhoedd drwy:
• Hyrwyddo buddiannau a lles myfyrwyr Prifysgol Caerdydd yn ystod eu cwrs astudiaeth a chynrychioli, cefnogi a chynghori myfyrwyr;
• Bod yn sianel gynrychiolaeth gydnabyddedig rhwng myfyrwyr a Phrifysgol Caerdydd ac unrhyw gorff allanol arall; a
• Darparu gweithgareddau cymdeithasol, diwylliannol, chwaraeon a hamdden a fforymau ar gyfer trafod er mwyn datblygiad personol ei fyfyrwyr
