Welcome to Cardiff University and thank you for joining the Cardiff University Law Society!

 

My name is Dinethra Wijerathne, and I have the great privilege of serving as your President for the 2025/2026 academic year.

 

Starting university is an incredibly exciting chapter, though I know it can also feel a little daunting at first. I was in the same position not too long ago, which is why we’ve put together this guide—to help you settle in, introduce you to the fantastic opportunities we offer, and, most importantly, to welcome you into the Law Society. Here, you’ll find lifelong friends, career-shaping experiences, and plenty of ways to make your time at Cardiff truly memorable.

 

From networking evenings and mooting competitions to relaxed socials, there’s something for everyone. I encourage you to dive in, try out new things, and never hesitate to reach out if you need support—we’re all in this together.
