Prerequisites
Steps to becoming an SU driver: Minibus 15 seater and van
Aged 21 years old or over with 2 years driving experience on a UK licence.
- Drivers must hold a UK Driving Licence with at least 2 years current driving experience.
- All drivers must complete an online Driver Registration Form and Liability Statement. This can be found on portal.cardiffstudents.com. Applications by drivers who have Points/Medicals/Motor Claims in the last 5 years may be affected.
- Minibus drivers must sit a Theory session and then pass a one hour practical test. Van drivers must sit a minimum one hour session.
- All registered drivers will need to do a refresher every year.
- All drivers must read, understand and follow the Union Transport Guidelines when using vehicles.
Steps to becoming an SU Driver – 9/7/5 seater cars
Aged 18 years old or over with 1 years driving experience on a UK licence.
- Drivers must hold a UK Driving Licence with at least 1 year current driving experience.
- Drivers must sit a minimum of one Training session before driving
- All drivers must complete an online Driver Registration Form and Liability Statement. This can be found on the portal at cardiffstudents.com.
- Applications by drivers who have Points/Medicals/Motor Claims in the last 5 years may be affected.
- All drivers must read, understand and follow the Union Transport Guidelines when using vehicles
The tests cost £35 payable by the Club/Society. All registered drivers are valid for the Academic year.
