Prerequisites
Steps to becoming an SU driver: Minibus 17 seater and van
Aged 21 years old or over with 2 years driving experience on a UK licence. Non UK licence holder are unable to drive the minibuses,
- Drivers must hold a UK Driving Licence with at least 2 years current driving experience.
- Minibus drivers must sit a Theory session and then pass a one hour practical test.
- All drivers must read, understand and follow the Union Transport Guidelines when using vehicles.
Steps to becoming an SU Driver – 9/7/5 seater cars
Aged 18 years old or over with 1 years driving experience on a UK licence.
Drivers must hold a UK Driving Licence/ EU licence with at least 1 year current driving experience.
- Drivers must sit a minimum of one training session before driving
- All drivers must complete an online Driver Registration Form.
- Applications by drivers who have Points/Medicals/Motor Claims in the last 5 years may be affected.
- All drivers must read, understand and follow the Student Union Transport Guidelines when using vehicles
The tests cost £25 (9 seater) and £45 (MiDAS course) payable by the Club/Society.
