Cardiff-guild Guild of Societies

The Guild of Societies is the umbrella group for all affiliated societies at Cardiff Students' Union.

Led by the Societies, Events and Activities officer, the Guild of Societies exists to help co-ordinate, support and represent societies in the Students' Union. The guild also runs events, both by itself and in conjunction with societies, like International Interchange, the Societies Awards and Solidarity Week.

RAG Week is almost upon us!

Starting on Monday the 14th November through to the 18th November RAG's biggest week of the year descends on Cardiff.  Featuring a multitude of events and activities both day and night, this week long extravaganza aims to raise as much money as possible for five amazing charities.

Throughout the week, events will include flashmobs, a food festival, sports tasters, Take Me Out, and clowning (where you can pay a RAG clown to follow your friend around...

Society Awards 2011

Over 260 students from over 30 societies gathered in the Great Hall for a Black Tie extravaganza last Saturday to celebrate their amazing achievements at the annual Society Awards 2011. 2011 Real Ale and Cider Festival

Cardiff Real Ale Society is back with their annual Real Ale and Cider Festival in the Great Hall on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 February. 

This year's festival features over 90 different real ales and ciders for you to try as well as meads, wines, beers and lagers. There'll also be live music each day from 7pm - 11pm to keep you entertained while you work your way through some delicious beverages.

Entry is only £3 which includes your souvenir festival pint glass or £10 for entry and 3 pints worth of beer tokens.
