Putting the Fun into Fundraising.

CUAC members raise hundreds of pounds for charity every year. 

 

2024/5: £1676 raised

In November CUAC memebers hiked a marathon along the Gower coastline to raise money for the eating disorder charity BEAT. In March we took once again took on the Welsh Three Peaks challenge scaling Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pey y Fan to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

 

2023: £1489.69 raised 

CUAC on the 26th March completed the Welsh Three Peaks challenge, climbing Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan, for Beat, the UK’s eating disorder charity to end pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. 

 

2022: £1122.50 raised 

CUAC on 5th June completed the Welsh Three Peaks challenge, climbing Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan. CUAC supported British-Ukrainain Aid, following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022.

 

2021: £530 raised

During the Covid pandemic, CUAC completed the Three Peaks challenge by climbing stairs at home, riasing money for the Young Minds Trust, a national charity which works to promote the mental health of children.

 

2020:

 

2019: £790 raised

On the 16th March 2019, CUAC completed a relay along the full 55 miles along the Taff Trail in aid of the 'Heads Together' campaign, which supports 8 charities that aim to beat the stigma surrounding Mental Health.

 

2018: £1138 raised 

On 14th March, CUAC cycled 462 miles, the distance between the Three Peaks, & then in April completed the Welsh Three Peaks challenge. CUAC supported Huggard, a Cardiff-based charity which aims to tackle homelessness.

 

2017: £500 raised

In 2017, CUAC cycled on static bikes the distance of the Wales Coast Path, which is 870 miles or 1,400 km long. Money was raised for Llamau, a homelessness charity supporting vulnerable young people and women in Wales.
