What are the Enriching Student Life Awards?
The Enriching Student Life Awards (ESLAs) are an annual event, created to recognise the fantastic staff and students who contribute to your Cardiff student experience.
The ESLAs 2026 will be run in partnership between Cardiff University and the Students’ Union. Awards will be open to nominations from both students and staff, with a combined shortlisting process. The ceremony will be an opportunity to showcase some of the best practice across the University when it comes to supporting the student experience.
Whether you have a great Personal Tutor, an inspiring lecturer, or a Student Academic Rep who goes the extra mile, we would love to hear from you. There are plenty of awards to choose from. Take a look at the criteria for each award here.
How do I nominate someone?
Any student or staff member at Cardiff University can place a nomination, and there is no limit to the number of nominations an individual can submit. Just fill in our nomination form as many times as required, paying attention to the criteria, linked above.
Make sure to include as much detail as you can on the form, as the nominations will be judged for a number of reasons, including:
• The level to which the student experience has been enhanced.
• The amount of students that have been affected.
• The amount of work that has gone into enhancing the experience.
We welcome nominations in Welsh and English.
Who decides the winners?
When nominations have closed, the judging panels will meet to review all submissions and create a shortlist of nominees for each category.
While the identity of the person who submitted a nomination will remain anonymous, the panel will know who each nomination is about.
Once the shortlists have been confirmed, a separate winners’ panel will review the shortlisted nominations and decide the overall winner for each category. Each individual who is shortlisted will be invited to the ESLA awards evening, where the winners will be announced.
The panels will consist of a mix of University and Students' Union staff. All decisions will be made fairly and objectively, based solely on the content and quality of the nominations, as well as the number of nominations received for each nominee.

Beth yw Gwobrau Cyfoethogi Bywyd y Myfyrwyr?
Mae Gwobrau Cyfoethogi Bywyd y Myfyrwyr (GCBM) yn ddigwyddiad blynyddol, wedi’i greu er mwyn cydnabod y staff a myfyrwyr ffantastig sy’n cyfrannu i’ch profiad fel myfyrwyr yng Nghaerdydd.
Bydd GCBM 2026 yn cael ei rhedeg mewn partneriaeth rhwng Prifysgol Caerdydd ac Undeb y Myfyrwyr. Gall myfyrwyr a staff enwebu, gyda phroses rhestr fer gyfunol. Bydd y seremoni yn gyfle i arddangos arferion gorau ar draws y Brifysgol o ran cefnogi profiad myfyrwyr.
Boed oes gennych Diwtor Personol gwych, darlithydd ysbrydoledig neu Gynrychiolydd Academaidd gweithgar, hoffem glywed wrthoch. Mae yna ddigon o wobrau i ddewis ohonynt. Gwelwch griteria pob gwobr yma.
Sut ydw i'n enwebu rhywun?
Gall unrhyw fyfyrwyr neu aelod o staff ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd enwebu, ac nid oes cyfyngiad ar y nifer o enwebiadau gall un unigolyn eu cyflwyno. Llenwch ein ffurflen enwebiadau gymaint o weithiau ag sydd angen, gan dalu sylw i’r criteria wedi’i atodi uchod.
Gwnewch yn siŵr eich bod yn cynnwys cymaint o fanylion ag y gallwch ar y ffurflen, gan y bydd yr enwebiadau’n cael eu beirniadu am nifer feysydd, gan gynnwys:
• Faint y mae profiad myfyrwyr wedi gwella.
• Nifer y myfyrwyr sydd wedi cael eu heffeithio.
• Faint o waith sydd wedi cael ei wneud er mwyn gwella profiadau.
Rydym yn croesawu enwebiadau yn Gymraeg ac yn Saesneg.
Pwy sy'n penderfynu pwy sy'n ennill?
Pan fydd yr enwebiadau wedi cau, bydd y paneli beirniadu yn cyfarfod i adolygu'r pob cais a chreu rhestr fer o enwebeion ar gyfer pob categori.
Er y bydd enw'r person a gyflwynodd enwebiad yn aros yn anhysbys, bydd y panel yn gwybod pwy yw'r rhai a enwebwyd.
Unwaith y bydd y rhestrau byr wedi'u cadarnhau, bydd panel enillwyr arall yn adolygu'r enwebiadau ar y rhestr fer ac yn penderfynu ar yr enillydd cyffredinol ar gyfer pob categori. Bydd pob unigolyn sydd ar y rhestr fer yn cael ei wahodd i noson wobrwyo GCBM, lle bydd yr enillwyr yn cael eu cyhoeddi.
Bydd y paneli yn cynnwys cymysgedd o staff y Brifysgol ac Undeb y Myfyrwyr. Bydd pob penderfyniad yn cael ei wneud yn deg ac yn wrthrychol, yn seiliedig yn unig ar gynnwys ac ansawdd yr enwebiadau, yn ogystal â nifer yr enwebiadau a dderbyniwyd ar gyfer pob enwebai.
