Volunteer Agreement

Introduction

This agreement describes the arrangement between Cardiff Volunteering and you, our volunteer. Cardiff Volunteering appreciates you volunteering with us and we aim to make this experience enjoyable and rewarding for you.

The organisation agrees to provide / ensure

A description of the role offered, its aim, and start date.
A commitment to support and supervision during your role as a volunteer.
A healthy and safe working environment whilst you are volunteering and appropriate insurance cover whilst you are volunteering for us .
That it will not cost you a penny to volunteer – we will reimburse you for all appropriate and agreed travel (upon production of receipts) where these are not refundable from our external project partners.
Equality of opportunity and diversity.
A confidential working environment – we will only share your information with those organisations that you are volunteering with and who have signed a Data Sharing Agreement with Cardiff Volunteering.
A fair and quick resolution to problems.

The volunteer agrees to

Undertake the role to the best of their ability to help Cardiff Volunteering deliver its services.
To follow Cardiff Volunteering’s procedures and abide by relevant policies.
To attend necessary induction and training.
To have due regard for confidentiality of the organisation, its staff and beneficiaries.
To meet the mutually agreed volunteering time commitments, giving reasonable notice when this is not possible.
To provide referees and apply for DBS disclosure as necessary.

This is an honourable agreement, rather than a legal one, and may be cancelled at any time by either party. This agreement is not regarded by either party as an employment relationship.By ticking this box you are agreeing to abide by this agreement.
