Move for the NHS

Get involved and raise money for our incredible NHS with Cardiff Volunteering!

This year we have seen NHS Doctors, Nurses and our own students work tirelessly during the Covid-19 pandemic. To show our support and appreciation in a safe way that adheres to government guidance we are delighted to introduce our ‘Move for the NHS’ campaign.

The purpose of this campaign is to support students to raise money for NHS charities. So why not set yourself a physical exercise challenge to get yourself moving and raise money for NHS charities. You can get outside or do it in the comfort of your own room. Get creative and challenge yourself!

Maybe you want to run, row, walk, or cycle 5km or 10km? Or perhaps a daily step challenge? What about a dance marathon? You can do it on your own or with your housemates, the possibilities are endless!

We want to see what you are up to so remember to tag @cardiffvolunteering and @cardiffstudents so we can share what you are doing.

How can I get started?

To Get Moving for the NHS here is what you need to do:

  • Set up a fundraising page: we’ve put some recommendations for fundraising platforms and which NHS charities you can donate to below
  • Get your mates to sponsor you: Send us a link to your fundraising page and we will share it for you!
  • Get Moving! You can choose your own challenge! Maybe a 5k or 10k challenge? A dance marathon? Whatever you want to challenge yourself to!
