Weekend Hikes. Escape Cardiff and see the sites of Wales! We run hikes on Saturday and Sunday during term time, mostly venturing around South Wales and up to the Brecon Beacons. Members will be told about the weeks hikes via an email every Wednesday evening. Sign ups take place from the following Thursday 7pm. Once you have signed up you will be emailed the day before the hike with further details on where to meet us. Hike meeting places will be available using public transport. Our hikes are of varying difficulty meaning that we try to accommodate everyone from the mountain goats to those that are fearful of a set of stairs!
Residential Trips. In the last years we have organised weekends to Pembrokeshire, the national parks Lake District, Snowdonia and Exmoor and the Isle of Skye.
Socials. Previous years socials included pub trips, meals but we also ventured out to Cardiff’s best venues including ice-cream parlours, trampoline parks and cinemas. We accommodate for all and pride ourselves on having socials that everyone can enjoy (both alcoholic and non alcoholic socials).
Erasmus Memberships. If you are leaving Cardiff after a single term, don’t worry about having to pay for the whole year. Our club allows you to purchase a membership for just the term you’re studying at just £9. This is also available to non-Erasmus students purchasing membership for the second half of the year.
Associate membership. If you are a post-doc or Cardiff University staff member or not from the uni, you can join with the same club membership fee, but must apply to the AU as an associate member.
