Want to join? You have until midnight on the 3rd of February to sign up!

(just go to our facebook page for the form)

Do you want to love sport but are just too lazy? Do you think you could be the next Robin Hood? Archery could be the sport for you! Whether you have been pinging arrows for years or just want to give it a go, you will fit right in at the club!

Please go to our facebook page for updates on socials, session times and competititons.

We don’t just ping arrows, the archery club lovingly arranges a variety of socials, from going to the pub after sessions to moderately wild nights out (not that wild). Don’t worry, there’s other stuff too- cinema, paintballing, archery tag, 3D archery and much more!

Where and When Do We Shoot?

The Great Hall (First Floor of the Students Union)

Monday  7pm – 10pm

Wednesday 5pm - 9pm

Can I Join?

YES! All skill levels are welcome, whether you've never picked up a bow before or you are a seasoned archer.

All equipment provided is included in the membership price. We also do trips to our local archery shop around twice a year so beginners can begin to advance with their own equipment.

If you're a beginner, please choose our beginners membership which includes a 3-week course with instructors that runs at the beginning of each semester. if you have previously completed a beginners course you will not need to sign up to the beginners course and can instead purchase the experienced membership. However if you do not feel confident or feel you need a refresher please come to the beginner's sessions so we can gauge your ability.

We can facilitate all bow disciplines including recurve, compound, longbow, barebow or traditional (horsebow).

For those archers that want to push themselves, there are a variety of competitions available to compete in. Not only are they a great way to represent the university (and look great on your CV), they are also really good fun. Tournaments are open to all skill levels, having beginner categories for people who have never shot before, giving beginners the opportunity to place and win medals. When it comes to bigger tournaments, we compete in both BUCS indoors and outdoors, which gives a real chance for an archer to push themselves as they are against every archer in the country. Finally, the most enjoyable of all competitions- Varsity. A once yearly opportunity to terrorise Swansea. They might be a bigger club on paper, but it is a great opportunity for making friends and showing off our skills as archers in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere.

We hope this is the club for you, and cannot wait to meet our new members!

Membership and Refund Policy

Membership is only available at the start of each semester for beginner archers. If you are an experienced archer, please message our facebook to enquire about joining at any point throughout the year.

Refunds: Our policy for new archers is that if you have completed over two beginners course sessions we will no longer be able to give a membership refund. For experienced archers we offer a full refund if you haven't been to sessions and if you have been to a few sessions we can offer a partial refund. If you do need a refund please contact our treasurer and they will organise one.

Sorry, there are no memberships available to purchase.
