What are the Enriching Student Life Awards?
The Enriching Student Life Awards (ESLAs) are an annual event, created to recognise the fantastic staff and students who contribute to your Cardiff student experience.
The 2027 ESLAs will be run in partnership between Cardiff University and the Students’ Union. Awards will be open to nominations from both students and staff, with a combined shortlisting process. The ceremony will be an opportunity to showcase some of the best practice across the University when it comes to supporting the student experience.
How do I nominate someone?
Nominations for the 2027 ESLA awards will open later in the year.
Who decides the winners?
When nominations have closed, the judging panels will meet to review all submissions and create a shortlist of nominees for each category.
While the identity of the person who submitted a nomination will remain anonymous, the panel will know who each nomination is about.
Once the shortlists have been confirmed, a separate winners’ panel will review the shortlisted nominations and decide the overall winner for each category. Each individual who is shortlisted will be invited to the ESLA awards evening, where the winners will be announced.
The panels will consist of a mix of University and Students' Union staff. All decisions will be made fairly and objectively, based solely on the content and quality of the nominations, as well as the number of nominations received for each nominee.

Beth yw Gwobrau Cyfoethogi Bywyd y Myfyrwyr?
Mae Gwobrau Cyfoethogi Bywyd y Myfyrwyr (GCBM) yn ddigwyddiad blynyddol, wedi’i greu er mwyn cydnabod y staff a myfyrwyr ffantastig sy’n cyfrannu i’ch profiad fel myfyrwyr yng Nghaerdydd.
Bydd 2027 GCBM yn cael ei rhedeg mewn partneriaeth rhwng Prifysgol Caerdydd ac Undeb y Myfyrwyr. Gall myfyrwyr a staff enwebu, gyda phroses rhestr fer gyfunol. Bydd y seremoni yn gyfle i arddangos arferion gorau ar draws y Brifysgol o ran cefnogi profiad myfyrwyr.

Pan fydd yr enwebiadau wedi cau, bydd y paneli beirniadu yn cyfarfod i adolygu'r pob cais a chreu rhestr fer o enwebeion ar gyfer pob categori.
Er y bydd enw'r person a gyflwynodd enwebiad yn aros yn anhysbys, bydd y panel yn gwybod pwy yw'r rhai a enwebwyd.
Unwaith y bydd y rhestrau byr wedi'u cadarnhau, bydd panel enillwyr arall yn adolygu'r enwebiadau ar y rhestr fer ac yn penderfynu ar yr enillydd cyffredinol ar gyfer pob categori. Bydd pob unigolyn sydd ar y rhestr fer yn cael ei wahodd i noson wobrwyo GCBM, lle bydd yr enillwyr yn cael eu cyhoeddi.
Bydd y paneli yn cynnwys cymysgedd o staff y Brifysgol ac Undeb y Myfyrwyr. Bydd pob penderfyniad yn cael ei wneud yn deg ac yn wrthrychol, yn seiliedig yn unig ar gynnwys ac ansawdd yr enwebiadau, yn ogystal â nifer yr enwebiadau a dderbyniwyd ar gyfer pob enwebai.
