After eight years of being voted as top 10 student unions in the UK, Cardiff Students’ Union has had another successful year reaching 2nd spot in What Uni’s Student Choice Award in the Students’ Union of the year category.

After eight years of being voted as top 10 student unions in the UK, Cardiff Students’ Union has had another successful year reaching 2nd spot in What Uni’s Student Choice Award in the Students’ Union of the year category.
Since 2012, What Uni have collected around 35,000 reviews from students at over 240 institutions across the country about their universities, receiving honest opinions on important topics like facilities, support, career prospects and more.
Thanks to our students’ reviews, Cardiff Students’ Union received a score of 4.55, placing second in the Students’ Union of the Year category, with nine other UK Students’ Unions being shortlisted for the award.
Overall satisfaction scores for Students’ Unions have increased significantly since the pandemic, with the SU question now scoring the third highest (up from last place in 2022) of all the questions asked.

Cardiff Students’ Union is at the heart of Cardiff student life. The Students’ Union exists to support students to thrive, and to have their backs when things don’t go as planned, in a safe, inclusive space where students can be who they want to be. Spanning both the Cathays and Heath Park campuses, the purpose-built Students’ Union building operates 24-hours a day and houses cafes, shops, bars, music venues, a letting agency and study spaces for students to make the most of their time at university. All profits from our commercial activity go to support bigger and better services and activities for our students.

Ar ôl wyth mlynedd o fod cael ein pleidleisio i'r 10 uchaf nghategori undeb myfyrwyr gorau’r DU, mae Undeb Myfyrwyr Caerdydd wedi cael blwyddyn lwyddiannus arall wrth gyrraedd yr 2il safle yng Ngwobrau Dewis Myfyrwyr WhatUni yng nghategori Undeb Myfyrwyr y flwyddyn.
Ers 2012, mae What Uni wedi casglu tua 35,000 adolygiad gan fyfyrwyr mewn dros 240 o sefydliadau ledled y wlad am eu prifysgolion, gan dderbyn barn onest ar bynciau pwysig fel cyfleusterau, cefnogaeth, rhagolygon gyrfa a mwy.
Diolch i adolygiadau ein myfyrwyr, fe dderbyniodd Undeb Myfyrwyr Caerdydd sgôr o 4.55, ac yr ail safle yng nghategori Undeb Myfyrwyr y Flwyddyn, gyda naw o Undebau Myfyrwyr eraill y DU ar restr fer y wobr.
Mae sgoriau boddhad cyffredinol Undebau Myfyrwyr wedi cynyddu'n sylweddol ers y pandemig, gyda'r cwestiwn UM bellach yn sgorio'r trydydd uchaf (i fyny o'r safle olaf yn 2022) o'r holl gwestiynau a ofynnwyd.

Mae Undeb Myfyrwyr Caerdydd wrth wraidd bywyd myfyrwyr Caerdydd. Mae Undeb y Myfyrwyr yn bodoli i gefnogi myfyrwyr i ffynnu, ac i’w cefnogi pan nad yw pethau'n mynd fel y cynlluniwyd, mewn gofod diogel, cynhwysol lle gall myfyrwyr fod yn bwy maen nhw eisiau bod. Yn ymestyn ar draws campysau Cathays a Pharc y Mynydd Bychan, mae adeilad pwrpasol Undeb y Myfyrwyr yn gweithredu 24 awr y dydd ac yn cynnwys caffis, siopau, bariau, lleoliadau cerddoriaeth, asiantaeth osod a mannau astudio i fyfyrwyr wneud y gorau o'u hamser yn y brifysgol. Bydd Undeb Myfyrwyr Caerdydd yn parhau i weithio gyda chydweithwyr yn y Brifysgol ehangach i greu'r profiad gorau posibl i fyfyrwyr, a chadw ein henw da o fod yn un o brif sefydliadau myfyrwyr y DU.
