Welcome to Cardiff University’s Ultimate Frisbee team, 2019/2020 Club of the Year winner!
Cardiff No Frills is a mixed gender club that is proud to compete in national, regional, friendly tournaments and fixtures regularly. Playing at Mixed, Women's, and Men's divisions throughout the year we will keep you busy. Since its founding in 1997, No Frills has boasted one of Cardiff's very few truly mixed-gender, totally inclusive sporting experiences. Everyone is welcome!

Information for Freshers:
Freshers’ week is the best time to try out our sport, with beginner-friendly Give It A Go sessions running at the start of the semester, as well as coaching for new players, including beginner’s tournaments to really get stuck in!
We strongly recommend that you join our WhatsApp Group; it is by far the easiest way to keep up to date with what's going on!

It is a fast-paced game with a highly social, international community. Ultimate Frisbee is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. Combine all of the best bits of netball and American football, and you will get Ultimate Frisbee.
We offer training sessions aimed at all levels to get you playing confidently.
Due to its fun, simple, and high-energy nature, not only is Ultimate Frisbee easy for beginners to pick up, but it's also a great way to keep fit as it requires pace, stamina, and agility!
Like any sport, we compete to win. Here are a few of our recent successes to give you an idea of what you could get involved in:
Indoor:
- Men: 2025/26 Silver medal at Outdoor Nationals
- Women: 4th overall in Division 2 Nationals
- Mixed: 3rd place at regionals, went to Division 1 Nationals
Outdoor:
- Men: Bronze medallists at Division 2 Nationals 22/23. Undefeated in our BUCS league 21/22. Silver medallists at Division 3 Nationals 21/22
- Women: Bronze medallists at Division 2 Nationals, 2nd place in BUCS in 22/23, 16th at Division 1 Nationals in 2022
- Mixed: 2nd Place Division 2 Nationals. Placed 8th nationally in 21/22.
However, we understand that not everyone joins a sports club at uni to become a student athlete.
Anyone is welcome to our training sessions; all we ask for is an open mind and enthusiasm!
Remember that most people who join the club have never played this sport before.
We have an excellent social calendar throughout the year. A great range of activities and events. Especially with our 30-year anniversary this year...
Sober socials are always on the calendar too, from Wing Wednesdays at the Woody to darts, scavenger hunts, and ice skating.
We will make sure that by the end of the year you have an eclectic fancy-dress wardrobe, hilarious photos, and friends for life!
Additionally, we run charity tournaments throughout the year to raise money for charities that support our local community, such as Cardiff Food Bank, who support homeless people.
So, whether you are looking to play competitive university sport, try a new sport that you’ve never played before, meet new people, or just improve your fitness levels, Ultimate Frisbee is the ideal sport for you.
The club prides itself on its positive atmosphere and the friendships it creates.

- Tuesday 9 pm - 10.30 pm, Talybont 3G
- Wednesday 2 pm - 3.30 pm, Blackweir Fields (by the ambulance station)
- Friday 8.30 pm - 10.30 pm, Talybont Sports Hall
- Sunday 5.30 pm - 7 pm, Talybont 3G
All trainings are in line with the requirements set out by UK Ultimate.

*REFUND POLICY.
Individuals seeking a refund must contact the President or Vice President of their wishes, who will then present their case to the rest of the committee for consideration. Individuals who have undertaken SOME training with No Frills (including Erasmus students who will only be here for some of the year) may be able to get a partial refund on their membership fee at the discretion of the committee and depending on a case-by-case basis.
