Welcome to Cardiff University’s Ultimate Frisbee team, the 2019/20 Club of the Year!
Cardiff No Frills is a mixed gender club that is proud to compete in national, regional, and friendly tournaments and fixtures regularly. Playing at Mixed, Women's, and Men's divisions throughout the year we will keep you busy. Our Women's team placed 4th nationally and our Men's compete in the 1st division regionally! Whether you're an experienced Ultimate player with a profile pic of yourself diving for a disc or you can't even spell frisbee, you will have a great time in the club.

Due to its fast-paced game and a highly social, international community, Ultimate Frisbee is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Picture all of the best bits of basketball, netball, and American football and you will get Ultimate. No Frills offers training sessions aimed at all levels so we can ensure the consistent progress and improvement you need to be playing confidently as soon as possible. Due to its fun, simple, and high-energy nature, not only is Ultimate Frisbee easy for beginners to pick up, but it's also a great way to keep fit as it requires pace, stamina, and agility.
Since its founding in 1997, No Frills has boasted one of Cardiff's very few truly mixed-gender, totally inclusive sporting experiences. Everyone is welcome!
With a hundred members last year you can imagine we had an excellent social calendar. Our social secs will be working their very hardest to provide you with a fresh batch of themed socials such as "Under the Sea" or "What I Wanted to Be When I Was Younger" that will guarantee many an interesting night at the SU. Sober socials are always on the calendar too, from Wing Wednesdays at the Woody to laser tag, bowling, and ice skating. We will make sure that by the end of the year you have an eclectic fancy dress wardrobe, hilarious photos, and friends for life. We're hoping to make a strong start to socials in September 2021, and we'd hate for you to miss them.
As well as being a team with spirit, we are a team with heart. Running many charity events throughout the year to raise money for charities that support our local community, such as children with cerebral palsy. We also work hard to find volunteering opportunities so that we can go out and teach Frisbee and keep kids active!
So whether you are looking to play competitive university sport, try a new sport that you’ve never played before, meet new people, or just improve your fitness levels, Ultimate Frisbee is the ideal sport for you. Come along and you'll see why Ultimate Frisbee is one of the fastest-growing sports throughout the world!
All training is conducted with measures taken to protect members and prevent the spread of COVID-19, in line with the requirements set out by UK Ultimate.

Sunday - experienced only - 17:30-19:00, Talybont 3G.
Tuesday - beginner friendly/mixed experience - 21:00-22:30, Talybont 3G
Wednesday - mixed experience - 14:00-16:00 - Pontcanna Fields (subject to organisation)
Friday - indoor split experience - 20:30-22:30 - Talybont Sports Hall

Individuals seeking a refund must contact the President or Vice President of their wishes, who will then present their case to the rest of the committee for consideration. Individuals who have undertaken SOME training with No Frills (including Erasmus students who will only be here for some of the year) may be able to get a partial refund on their membership fee at the discretion of the committee and depending on a case-by-case basis.
