Useful Information
Training
Training nights take place every Tuesday and Thursday at either Boulders or Flashpoint.
Each week the club will run supervision and training sessions for top rope climbing.
Subject to availability and requirements met by climbers, lead training sessions will also be available.
More information will be released as the year progresses but if you have any questions, please contact our Training Secretary, Immy, at StokesI@cardiff.ac.uk.
The club will also be running additional climbing skills sessions to support people looking to broaden their knowledge, their technique, and get outdoors.
Details of these sessions are to be confirm in time to come so keep an eye out!
To book onto any supervision or teaching sessions, you will find tickets released for these of our events and tickets page of the website.
Club Night Buses
The CUMC runs buses on Tuesdays and Thursdays to either Boulders or Flashpoint.
Which location shall have a bus on a given day will be confirmed by a schedule released by the committee at the start of each semester.
If you are to get one of our buses, we meet outside of the Bagel place under the Students Union in anticipation of leaving at 6.30pm and will return and 9.30pm.
In previous years the club has subsidised these buses completely. Unfortunately, due to rising costs of hiring the buses, we are no longer able to sustainably run these buses completely free of charge.
As such, we will now be introducing a small fee of £1.00 per person to help contribute toward the significant costs the club incurs.
To book a spot on one of our buses, please purchase a ticket through our events and tickets page on the website.
Borrowing Club Gear
At the CUMC we love climbing gear and all things shiny.
The club maintains a store of gear for all the climbing adventures you can imagine, and we are eager to provide you the tools you need to have your adventures.
The club will lend gear to any member it believes to be suitably experienced to use and care for the gear they would like to borrow.
This is subject to the judgement of committee members, but we encourage that you reach to our Gear Secretary so that we can help you make the most of what is available.

To both Boulders and Flashpoint we are grateful for their hospitality and help when put on our give it a go sessions.
