Dancesport Club
WELCOME TO CARDIFF UNIVERSITY DANCESPORT CLUB!
Our team at Blackpool nationals 2026!
Cardiff University Dancesport Club is the only society at Cardiff University to offer lessons in Ballroom, Latin and Salsa dancing for all abilities! Whether you've never danced before or have been dancing since you were four, we have space for you.
We are dedicated to creating a super friendly atmosphere, where each and every dancer feels they can be themselves and have a familiar face to rely on. Our excellent teachers and coaches provide high quality lessons open to all Cardiff students, from complete beginners all the way up to advanced dancers. We also host weekly socials, including both alcohlic and non-alcoholic events!
Why not check out our Facebook or Instagram page, for details about membership, classes and competitions as well as for photos, socials and live updates. We have a WhatsApp community that prospective members and members can join here!
We have a highly successful competitive team that competes around the UK on the university circuit. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to compete with Dancesport. Our teachers are Sean Perry, Ella Perry and Andy Witt (Salsa). Sean belongs to Shappelles dance studio in Ystrad Mynach, a nationally recognised studio with formation teams hosting 29 British Formation Team Titles over the past 25 years. Andy is a well-recognised figure in the Cardiff Salsa scene, known for bringing his love and enthusiasm for the sport wherever he goes.
