Nepali Society at Cardiff University aims to bring together Nepali students, students of Nepali heritage, or simply any students keen on learning about Nepali culture!
The UK and Nepal have shared a long history, with Gurkha soldiers still being an integral part of the British Army. There are many people who know of Nepal, the land of Mount Everest and the birthplace of Buddha, but most don’t get to the chance to meet Nepali people and learn the culture. With this newly established society we hope to create a platform where students can be introduced to Nepali culture, and for Nepali students here in Cardiff we hope to create a homely feeling, a sense of belonging :)
We organise several activities and events throughout the year such as Momo (Nepali Dumplings) parties, movie nights, Dashain Tihar social, Nepali new year social and many more!
We really want anyone and everyone to feel welcome, so please don’t hesitate to pop up at one of our events, and if you have any questions, please feel free to email a committee member (details below).
We look forward to getting to know you all :)
Please log in to view the committee.
