Nepali Society

Nepali Society at Cardiff University aims to bring together Nepali students, students of Nepali heritage, or simply any students keen on learning about Nepali culture!

The UK and Nepal have shared a long history, with Gurkha soldiers still being an integral part of the British Army. There are many people who know of Nepal, the land of Mount Everest and the birthplace of Buddha, but most don’t get to the chance to meet Nepali people and learn the culture. With this newly established society, we strive to build upon what our seniors have started and broaden the platform where more students can be introduced to Nepali culture, and for Nepali students here in Cardiff we hope to create a homely feeling, a sense of belonging :)

This year, we have many events up our sleeves ! We aim to broaden our society by collaborating with more societies and other neighbouring universities, be ready for day events like SportsFest and night events where we get loose at Pub Crawls and Ball functions !

We really want anyone and everyone to feel welcome, so please don’t hesitate to pop up at one of our events, and if you have any questions, please feel free to email a committee member (details below).

We look forward to getting to know you all :)

Please log in to view the committee.
