Save lives in your spare time at uni!
We’re Cardiff Marrow, the student branch of our parent charity Anthony Nolan.
We run donor recruitment events, signing people onto the stem cell register via cheek swabs. At our events our trained volunteers raise awareness about stem cell/bone marrow donation, counsel people who want to join the register, help with the process of signing people up and answer any questions.
We also hold fundraisers including pub quizzes, bake sales, bucket shakes and much more!
People with blood cancer often need a stem cell transplant as a last attempt at saving their life. However, one person may only have one match in the whole world, and it is usually a complete stranger! The more people we add to the register the more patients can find their match and lives can be saved!!
