Cardiff Students for Global Health (SfGH) is the Cardiff branch of Students for Global Health UK, a national student-led network working to challenge health inequalities and promote global health through education, advocacy and action.
Our society is open to everyone — you don't need to study healthcare or have any previous experience in global health to get involved. We bring together students from different backgrounds and disciplines to learn, discuss and take action on issues affecting health and healthcare around the world.
Throughout the year, we organise a range of events and opportunities, including:
Educational sessions and talks exploring global health topics and current issues
Workshops and discussions covering themes such as health inequalities, women's health, infectious diseases, humanitarian health and more
Fundraising and campaigns supporting local and global health-related causes
National conferences and opportunities through Students for Global Health UK
Social and networking events to connect with other students interested in global health
Opportunities to get involved in advocacy, volunteering and student-led projects
Being part of Cardiff SfGH also connects you with students and societies across the UK through Students for Global Health, as well as wider international networks and organisations.
Whether you're already passionate about global health or simply want to learn more, everyone is welcome. There are plenty of opportunities throughout the year to get involved, build your knowledge, meet new people and take part in projects and events.
