Come along to The Belly Dancing Society, where we provide a fun and light hearted environment to learn a variety of Belly Dance moves, ranging from Turkish and Egyptian to Tribal and modern. This beautiful and empowering dance form is bound to fill you with confidence while also getting your heart pumping. Whether you're looking to try something new or fancy yourself as the next Shakira, with our fun classes and lively socials, Belly Dancing could be the perfect society for you!
We take part in a minimum of two showcases every year - The winter and spring showcases which take place in the SU, however numerous opportunities are avaliable for performing and competitions.
The society is open to all abilities from complete beginner to experienced dancers and gives opportunities to take part in exciting events such as Go Global, abroad festivals in places like Barcelona, and professional photo shoot opportunities in beautiful stage wear.
We have dancers of every shape and size, some who turn up in gym kit and others who look performance ready! Here at CUBD we want to create an inclusive environment to welcome and make everyone feel comfortable.
