How do I sign up to a course?
To sign up for a course you need to register to become an SDS member.
Once registered you can log into the Students’ Union website and book a course.
Etiquette for attending courses

If you are unable to attend a session, please email SDS@cardiff.ac.uk.

We expect you to arrive at least 5 minutes before a session is due to begin.

We recommend you keep a personal log of sessions you attend.

To get the most out of the session we advise that you actively participate in the session.
Data sharing
By enrolling onto our courses, you are acknowledging and accepting that we will share your name and email with externally accredited organisations and learning providers for assessment registration and certification purposes.
How much does it cost to join the SDS?
It is free to become an SDS member.
How much do courses cost?
Course prices vary. The price will be listed on the course description. If you have any further queries, you can email
SDS@cardiff.ac.uk.
Why can’t I see the courses page?
First check you are logged into the Students’ Union website. If you are logged in please ensure you are registered as an SDS member.
When I go to book it appears full. Can I still attend?
You are strongly recommended to book to attend a session and can do so when bookings open. If you are thinking of coming along but can't get a booking, please email SDS staff.
Will I get a confirmation email when I book?
Yes, a confirmation will be sent to your student email address. We recommend making a note of the workshop titles, dates, times, and locations at the time of booking.
How do I cancel my session?
Email
SDS@cardiff.ac.uk as soon as you know you cannot attend.
I’ve graduated. Can I still complete courses?
If you’ve already commenced a course but have units to complete you may attend in the autumn term following graduation. You may need to book via email if you can no longer see the sign-up page.
