Event Information
Welsh Varsity is coming up but if you haven’t been able to secure a ticket for the day time event then we have an opportunity for you! We will be helping to keep Bute Park tidy after it was left in a sorry state last time we had varsity in Cardiff . We’ll be going round on the day with litter pickers and bin bags making sure everything is nice and tidy so that once varsity is over the park is still in a good condition for the people that live and work in Cardiff.
The litter picking will be for most of the day but we will be splitting people into shifts so you’ll only need to do a couple hours, in return we will offer a free packed lunch and a ticket to the rugby that afternoon which is worth £20. If you’ve never been on one of our litter picks before that’s completely fine, it will be coordinated by Jake and Hannah from Cardiff Volunteering who will be there on the day to show you what to do and to make sure everything is running smoothly.
To sign up all you need to do is purchase a free ticket and then shortly before the event you will be emailed with more details. You can also log your volunteering hours through our website, which can then be used as a reference for your CV.
