Join us during Freshers’ 2026 and indulge yourself in the Welsh culture with some Welsh Cake making, which Give it a Go is running in collaboration with Baking Society.

For any of you that are new to Wales this is a must try and a delicious treat. For any of our Welsh students, this is a chance to learn how to make a classic, or show everyone how it’s done!

Come along and spend some time cooking (and eating!). All ingredients will be provided.

Terms & Conditions

This Give it a Go is non-refundable and non-transferable. You may give the ticket to a friend if you are no longer able to attend but must not sell it at more than face value (£6). 

If you have any dietary requirements, please contact [email protected] as soon as possible, so that we can ensure that we have suitable ingredients. There will be lactose, gluten and other allergens being used during the session. Gluten free flour, dairy free butter etc will be provided when we are provided with sufficient notice. There are no nuts in the recipe though some of the ingredients may contain traces of nuts.
