Empower Periods
According to UNICEF, every month 1.8 billion people across the world menstruate. Despite the regularity of menstruation in girls, women, transgender men and non-binary persons, it is a widely unspoken topic with many damaging stigmas built around it.
EmpowerPeriods is an organisation built to spread awareness of menstruation and break the taboo of periods and EmpowerPeriods is coming to Cardiff SU to show YOU that you are not alone, and to offer guidance independent of your education.
After delivering a fantastic talk in December, EmpowerPeriods will be back at Cardiff Students’ Union on 9th February to talk to YOU about:
- Understanding your period
- Unspoken period pain
- Period products and pain prevention including remedies and exercises to try
- Contraception and Sex
The first 40 sign-ups will receive a period positive package to take home to help you cope with your periods.
