Could YOU be the next VP Sports and Athletic Union President?

Being AU President was the best decision I made. It’s the perfect job to do as you are still fully emerged in student life while also earning and gaining so much experience! You truly get the best of both worlds in this role. The best part of this role for me is getting to play and watch sport every Wednesday, after COVID and injuries cut my time playing university sport short taking on this role has meant I have been lucky enough to continue playing for the university, while also getting to watch all our other amazing teams, meeting all the committees and players."

(Meg Somerville, VP Sports & AU President, 2021/22)

Sabbatical Officer roles are far from your typical job experience and will place you in a working environment which will encourage you to develop a new set of skills to engage an audience of 30,000 students, whilst also challenging and supporting university stakeholders.
