Running since 2013, Cardiff University Triathlon Club has grown to be a huge and active club within the University. We offer training 8 times a week across the 3 disciplines and cater for all abilities from complete beginners to those competing at elite standard. We also welcome disabled athletes to the club- PTWC1 + PTWC2 (Wheelchair users), PTS2-5 (Ambulant), PTVI1-3 (Athletes with visual impairment) and Athletes with auditory impairments are all able to train with us. If you're a disabled athlete looking to join the club, please get in touch so we can discuss the best way for you to train with us and make any necessary adjusments.
Ers 2013, mae Clwb Triathlon Prifysgol Caerdydd wedi tyfu i fod yn glwb mawr a gweithredol o fewn y Brifysgol. Rydym yn cynnig hyfforddiant 8 gwaith yr wythnos ar draws y 3 disgyblaeth ac yn darparu ar gyfer pob gallu, o ddechreuwyr i’r rheiny sy’n cystadlu ar lefel elît. Rydym hefyd yn croesawu athletwyr anabl i’r clwb – gall PTWC1 + PTWC2 (defnyddwyr cadair olwyn), PTS2-5 (ambulant), PTVI1-3 (athletwyr gydag amhariad ar y golwg) ac athletwyr gydag amhariad ar y clyw ymarfer gyda ni. Os ydych yn athletwr anabl gyda diddordeb yn y clwb, cysylltwch gyda ni er mwyn trafod y ffordd orau i chi gymryd rhan ac unrhyw addasiadau byddai eu hangen.


If you have an interest in either running, cycling or swimming and have always fancied giving triathlon a go please come along to one of our training sessions. Whether you've completed an Ironman or you're a complete beginner, we'd love to have you along!

- Wednesday 7:30-8:30, Swimming @ STARHUB leisure centre
- Wednesday 17:00-18:00, Cycling @ Maindy velodrome
- Thursday 18:30, Social runs (5k and 10k routes) @ back of CUSU
- Saturday 9:00, parkrun (plus once a month followed by pancakes!) @ Bute Park - Check Facebook for more details.
- Sunday 9:00, Road cycle rides (casual, intermediate & advanced) Joint with the Cycling Club. Meet @ Lidl carpark
- Sunday 13:30-14:30, Swimming @ Maindy leisure centre

Socials!
Just in case 8 training sessions wasn't enough time with your triathlon buddies, we have plenty of socials too! We have fortnightly socials - destination the SU (or the pub for any who prefer a more sophisticated night), sometimes joining the Athletics and Cycling clubs.
We also do plenty of non-alcoholic socials, such as parkrun and pancakes every month, trips out and post-race meals!
Cymdeithasol!
Rhag ofn nad yw 8 sesiwn hyfforddi yn ddigon o amser gyda’ch ffrindiau triathlon, mae gennym ddigonedd o ddigwyddiadau cymdeithasol hefyd! Mae gennym ddigwyddiadau cymdeithasol bob pythefnos - yn yr UM (neu'r dafarn i unrhyw un sydd eisiau noson fwy soffistigedig), gan weithiau ymuno â'r clybiau athletau a seiclo. Rydym hefyd yn cynnal digon o ddigwyddiadau cymdeithasol heb alcohol, fel parkrun a chrempog bob mis, teithiau a bwyd i ddathlu ar ôl rasys!

Competition!
We take part in all the BUCS events, as well as numerous public duathlons, aquathlons and relay events.
We are always keen to have new events added to the calendar so if there's an event you would really like to do, and you think the team would enjoy it too, please speak to one of our committee members.
Cystadlu!
Rydym yn cymryd rhan yn holl ddigwyddiadau BUCS, ynghyd â duathlons, aquathlons a rasys cyfnewid cyhoeddus. Rydym o hyd yn awyddus i ychwanegu digwyddiadau newydd at y calendr, felly os oes digwyddiad hoffech gymryd rhan ynddo, a theimlwch y byddai’r tîm hefyd yn ei fwynhau, rhowch wybod i’r pwyllgor.

Events!
We host two triathlon events a year: Swim Bike Run and our Spring Super Sprint! Both are beginner friendly super sprint triathlons, aimed at those wanting to get into racing multisport events. The race includes a 200m pool swim, a 10k bike on a traffic free circuit, and a 3k run on quiet pavements. Swim Bike Run is an event open to the public, and our Spring Super Sprint is an inter-university event, so a great opportunity to meet fellow triathletes from around the UK!
Digwyddiadau!
Rydym yn cynnal dau ddigwyddiad triathlon bob blwyddn: Swim Bike Run a'n Spring Super Sprint! Mae'r ddau yn addas ar gyfer dechreuwyr, wedi'u hanelu at y rheiny sydd am roi cynnig ar ddigwyddiadau aml-chwaraeon. Mar'r ras yn cynnwys nofio 200m mewn pwll, seiclo 10k ar gylcched heb draffig, a rhedeg 3k ar balmentydd tawel. Mae Swim Bike Run ar agore i'r cyhoedd, ac mae ein Spring Super Sprint yn ddigwyddiad rhyng-brifysgol, felly mae'n gyfle i gwrdd â triathletes o ar draw y DU!

REFUND POLICY: All students are welcome to attend our give it a go sessions after Freshers week and Refreshers. After this period, session sign ups are only open to members. Please note refunds will not be provided.
