CUMT - Cardiff University Mountainbike Team
What?
South Wales is one of the best mountain biking locations in the UK and joining the CUMT is the best way to ride it! We visit all the iconic trail centres along with the locations you won't have heard of. If your a complete novice or a seasoned proffessional we will cater to your riding ability and make sure you feel welcomed.
We also provide plenty of opportunties to get invovled in racing with our own free race seiries. This is paired with the opportunity to race at BUCS level.
When?
We pride ourselves on being a very active club, meeting three times a week.
Weekends: We organise a ride to spots all around the welsh valleys. With tickets for transport availble through the membership.
Sports Afternoons:While there is enough daylight we orgaise local rides on Wednesday afternoons, stating from Talybont!
Socials:Take place every Wednesday, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic events.
Finally we aim to provide a weekend trip away each term!
How?
To get involved you must have a membership. However, this will provide you with insane trips away and organised transport to riding locations, at highly reduced costs!
Want to ride with us? If you have your own safe working bike and wear a helmet, we're happy. Chat to us at the freshers fair and join our pages below.
Make sure you bring your bike with you, you'll have space for it in your room in halls.

Refund Policy:
At present all trips are priced as close to cost as possible and as such rely on selling out to keep the club funded. Cancelations for personal reasons may be considered by the committee and will be on a case by case basis - refunds based on having a bike unfit for purpose will generally not be considered. We recommend trying to sell your ticket to another member if you are unable to make a trip and contact the committee once you aware you will be unable to attend so we can also offer this ticket to others wishing to attend. Refunds will NOT be given for BUCs events, we are unable to recoup your entry fee after entries close.
