Cardiff University
Welcome to the home of CUGC! Whether you have trained for years, have never stepped onto a sprung floor before or simply want to join us for the social side, there is a place for you here.
Cardiff University Gymnastics Club is open to students of all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced competitive gymnasts. We train across artistic gymnastics, tumbling, calisthenics, parkour and general gymnastics skills.
We are a non-trial club, so there is no minimum standard needed to join. You can train recreationally, work towards competitions or simply come along to improve your skills.
Not interested in training? You can also join as a social member and still be part of the club, socials, trips, balls and events throughout the year.

ADDITIONAL SESSION
Day and time TBC
Sessions include Women's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics, tumbling, parkour and general skill development. Training takes place at Cardiff Central Youth Club, around an 8-min drive from the Students' Union. Members regularly arrange lifts and travel together.
Members will also have access to structured strength, flexibility and conditioning sessions alongside our main gymnastics training.
This year we will be competing in both the University Gymnastics Cup and BUCS representing Cardiff University. Competition days are some of the best days of the year. We travel together, support everyone competing and sometimes stay overnight, so they are just as much about the experience as the gymnastics. The atmosphere is always amazing and they are such a good way to get to know everyone properly and become closer as a club.
We are planning to attend around six competitions across the academic year, giving members the chance to represent CUGC across a range of disciplines and ability levels.
Competing is completely optional. You are just as welcome to train recreationally, learn new skills and be part of the club without entering competitions.
We hold socials every Wednesday, ranging from themed socials heading to YOLO to balls, meals out, trips and sober events.
We also run larger events during the year including our Christmas Ball and Summer Ball, and we are aiming to organise an international club tour.
Just here for the socials?
You can join CUGC as a social member without attending gymnastics training. Social membership gives you access to our socials, balls, trips and other club events.
