Xpress Radio is Cardiff University's award-winning radio station, established in 1994.
Xpress offers you the opportunity to understand the basics of broadcasting, or just a chance to talk about music and other things you enjoy. No previous knowledge of radio is required to join, we will teach you all you need to know to present or produce a live radio show! As well as offer the opportunity to learn how to DJ, the ins and outs of Social Media, how to run an Outside Broadcast, and how to create your own podcast.
We work with the rest of Cardiff Student Media to keep you updated with Cardiff University and local Cardiff events and even host many of our own events on our platform for you to get involved in.
We broadcast every day during term time. Our schedule consists of speech, entertainment and specialist shows across a range of genres including politics, comedy and drama. And opportunities like interviewing huge bands such as Kasabian or London Grammar, commentating from the Millennium Stadium, or taking part in a 24-hour broadcast charity fundraiser are all things that members of Xpress Radio have done over the last few years.
