Women Leaders of Afrika Society

Women Leaders of Afrika (WOLA) is a dynamic, inter-university organisation dedicated to empowering Afrikan women through a structured three-tier framework. We aim to challenge brain drain by harnessing the talents, knowledge and leadership of young Afrikan women to build, strengthen and transform the Afrikan continent, even while abroad.

Our Three Tier Framework:

1. A Safe Space for Afrikan Women

Creating a supportive community where Afrikan women can connect, grow and thrive through:

• Networking opportunities and support groups.
• Cultural appreciation events celebrating our heritage, identities and diversity.
• Mentorship opportunities with experienced Afrikan women leaders.

2. Self-Actualisation and Leadership Development

Equipping Afrikan women with the skills, confidence and opportunities to realise their potential and become the leaders of tomorrow through:

• Leadership and soft-skills workshops.
• Career development and professional training.
• Public speaking, negotiation and advocacy training.

3. Community Development

Transforming individual growth into collective impact by using our skills, knowledge and resources to contribute to the social and economic development of Afrika through:

• Community service projects and collaborative initiatives.
• Developing initiatives that promote social and economic development.
• Building partnerships with local and global organisations to create meaningful, lasting change.
