Vinyl and Music Appreciation Society

The Cardiff University Vinyl and Music Appreciation Society wants to keep alive the traditional methods of listening to music. Our society welcomes anyone with a love or passion for music, regardless of whether or not you currently collect records. We organise regular social events such as pub quizzes, visits to independent record stores, gigs and nights out for all to enjoy. Members of the society will receive discount from local record stores. We also have a venue for members to engage in regular society meetings, and a chance for all members to bring along any records they love, and use the turntables available to the society. Members can also recommend and talk about their favourite albums, older or contemporary, offering an opportunity for more people to get into vinyl or just discussing the music they love. We believe it's a great opportunity for meeting like-minded people who share your passions for music and vinyl records!
