Welcome to the Cardiff Somali Society — a vibrant community where culture, faith, and friendship come together. Our society is all about celebrating Somali heritage, creating a welcoming space for everyone, and building meaningful connections on and off campus.
Throughout the year, we’ll be hosting a variety of exciting events, including: ✨ Community Iftars during Ramadan — a time to gather, reflect, and share delicious food. 🤝 Collaborations with other cultural societies — bringing together different communities for fun and impactful events. 👭 Girls’ nights — safe, relaxed spaces to connect, unwind, and make new friends. 🌿 Hikes and walks — a chance to explore beautiful surroundings while bonding with fellow members.
One of our main commitments is to meet as often as we can to provide a communal and supportive environment for our members. Creating societal events to bring people together as well as providing entertainment- such as cultural dances and comedy skits which allow for students to meet each other and socialise as well as network.Whether you’re Somali, curious to learn more about the culture, or simply looking for a warm community, everyone is welcome.
