Do you like working with young people? Are you interested in sexual health? Want to give something back to the local community? If so, we may be the society for you!
Sexpression is a student-led charity that empowers young people to make decisions surrounding sex and relationships. Our branch is made up of volunteer students who are trained to deliver high-quality sex education at local secondary schools. The lessons we deliver cover topics such as STIs, puberty, consent, body image and sexuality. Working with young people aged 11-18 is great fun and incredibly rewarding.
We have no demands on our members – once you are trained up you can do as few or as many sessions as you like! These sessions fit in around lectures or placement and we always arrange transport for you. We also welcome members who don't volunteer, however want to be involved in our branch's social and advocacy events! The society is run by an enthusiastic committee of experienced members who are here to run sessions and support our new members.
