Pre-hospital and Emergency Medicine for Students

Pre-hospital and Emergency Medicine for Students

Pre-hospital and Emergency Medicine for Students (PEMS) is a medical student-led initiative that aims to provide opportunities for healthcare students to explore this brilliant area of medicine.

Emergency medicine (EM) as defined by the Eurpopean Society of Emergency Medicine:

Emergency Medicine is a primary specialty established using the knowledge and skills required for the prevention, diagnosis and management of urgent and emergency aspects of illness and injury, affecting patients of all age groups with a full spectrum of undifferentiated physical and behavioral disorders.

If you have a strong interest in EM or would like to learn more about it please become a member and come along to our events. We will have a number of teaching events throughout the year, including talks and simualtion based teaching.

We will be providing certificates of attendance for our teaching sessions which will be ideal for building portfolios.

We look forward to you joining the Emergency Medicine community :)
