Music Society

Cardiff Uni Music Society welcomes students from across the university, united by a love of music. We offer many ensembles for all sorts of instruments, regular performance opportunities, socials -  both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, access to the university practice rooms for our ensemble members and countless friendly faces.

​MuSoc Ensembles​
As a member of the Music Society, you'll be welcome to join any of our range of ensembles. All of our ensembles are non-auditioned and run by our student members. Anyone of any ability is welcome! Check out the Ensembles page for more info

Ensembles Schedule

​Performance Opportunities​

We have a number of performance opportunities, such as the fortnightly Lunchtime Concert series, which takes place every other Thursday in the School of Music Concert Hall at lunchtime and are free to attend. All MuSoc members are welcome to sign-up to perform at these concerts which are included in the membership pacakage. The LTC themes can be found on our Instagram, where you can also sign-up to play. This year our concerts will be livestreamed on our YouTube Channel (although if you don't want your performance livestreamed that can be arranged). Additionally, we also have end of term concerts for the majority of our ensembles! 

​Socials​

Our regular socials will be a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic events, and are a great way to get to know other musicians and members of the society. Look out for updates on our Instagram for upcoming socials! 

​MuSoc Ball​

At the end of the academic year, we host an annual MuSoc Ball. Last year, this took place in the Marriott Hotel joint with Jazz Society and Brass Band Society and was an amazing event. We had live music, a three course meal, a photographer and end of year awards. We can't wait to host another one this year!
