Join us at Cardiff University Meditation Society with weekly or fortnightly meetings offering talks, discussions and guided meditations from ourselves and guest speakers. The society is suitable for everyone, whether you're an experienced meditator or an absolute beginner. It is also FREE to join the society, but please remember that to become a member you must join the Guild of Societies (one-off, £5 fee).
Meditation is becoming increasingly popular in the Western world as many of us, including doctors and scientists, continue to discover is wonderful benefits. To name just a few, it is proven to help reduce stress, anxiety, depression, improve concentration and strengthen our immune systems. The NHS has even started to recommend meditation for patients diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety, and have received extremely positive results in doing so! By helping you to develop a practice, we hope that meditation can assist in dealing with the stresses of university work and help to create a more balanced and positive life.
Come along to our weekly sessions: Thursdays 7.30-9.30pm in room 4H of the SU. New members are welcome to join any time!
