Whether you want to master chest X-rays, get hands-on with ultrasound probes or get your name on a research project, the Medical Imaging Society is setting up a space to help you with all of those! Radiology has become an essential part of medicine, so our main goal this year is to build a welcoming and practical community that gives you confidence with imaging.
Our plans for the year include:
Radiology Teaching Series: Tailored sessions for pre-clinical years and clinical years (focusing on acute pathology, emergency film interpretation and ordering guidelines).
Hands-on Workshops: Interactive sessions including POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound) which is an essential skill for emergency care as a junior doctor, and a hands-on Interventional Radiology workshop.
Research, Audit & QIP Buddy Scheme: A mentorship pairing system matching motivated students with clinicians on active projects, helping you build your portfolio while supporting clinical teams.
Portfolio Guidance: Advice sessions focused on how to build a competitive specialty application early on.
