Kurdish Society

The Kurdish Society at Cardiff University is a vibrant, welcoming community open to all students, regardless of background, nationality, or prior knowledge of Kurdish culture. We aim to create a space where Kurdish heritage can be celebrated, shared, and explored together, whether you’re Kurdish yourself or simply curious to learn more.

We aim to celebrate the richness and diversity of Kurdish culture. Throughout the year, we host a wide range of events, including cultural evenings and Newroz celebrations, etc. Our society is a place to experience Kurdish traditions first‑hand, meet new people, and build a supportive community on campus.

Kurdish culture grows stronger when it is shared. Whether you want to connect with your roots, make friends, or simply enjoy great food, music, and conversation, you’ll find a friendly and inclusive environment here.

Kurdish Society celebrates diversity, encourages cultural exchange, and contributes to the multicultural life of Cardiff University. We’re here to create memorable experiences throughout the year.
