Welcome to the Formula 1 Society! 🏁
A place to discuss all things Formula 1 whether you have been a fan for years, watch drive to survive, or simply enjoy watching Carlos Sainz take off his race helmet. We are a society that get to together on race weekends at the pub to watch the Sunday race and discuss who we think will win. From Mercedes fans rejoicing to Ferrari fans crying, all supporters are welcome here! Come join us to watch the race and get to know other Formula 1 fans - hope to see you there!
Socials
CUF1 isn’t just about watching races. We run regular socials throughout the year, giving members the chance to get to know each other away from the track. From nights out and themed events to casual meet ups and F1 inspired activities, our socials are a chance to meet new people, make friends and get involved with the CUF1 community. No F1 knowledge required - just come along and get involved!
Race Watches
Throughout the F1 season, we get together at local pubs, normally the Taf or Owain Glyndwr, to watch the races as a society. Race watches are a great way to experience the excitement of a Grand Prix with other F1 fans - from lights out to the chequered flag. Whether you know every driver on the grid or are still learning the difference between a pit stop and a penalty, everyone is welcome. Come along, support your favourite team, debate the race and enjoy the inevitable Ferrari strategy discussion.
Wednesday Socials
Our Wednesday socials are a big part of CUF1! Wednesday's we get together for a chance to deluge in F1. Our socials can range from nights out and themed events to casual drinks, games and other activities leading on to YOLO. Whether you’re coming with friends or joining us on your own, our Wednesday socials are a great way to meet people and get involved with the society.
Sober Socials
Not a fan of nights out? We’ve got you covered! We also run regular sober socials throughout the year, giving everyone the chance to get involved without alcohol. These can include games nights, meals, activities and other events where you can meet members and have fun in a more relaxed setting. You don’t need to drink or go on nights out to be part of CUF1 - there’s something for everyone.
Group chat
This is the group chat that we have created for this year for CUF1. This group chat can be used by non-members and members but some parts are exclusive to CUF1 members to discuss key details of events and locations for socials and race watches. If you have purchased a membership, please request to join the CUF1 members group chat and we will message you privately asking for either your student number or purchase receipt so we can check it on our side, then be able to add you.
