Film Society

Film Society

Welcome to Cardiff University Film Society: the home for film appreciators, aspiring film makers and all things film!

Film Society is a very welcoming society always open to new members, we host a range of events including our annual trip to the London Film Festival and termly 48 hour film challenges and pub quizzes.

We hold weekly film screenings of a variety of films in the Royal George every week on Monday from 7pm.

Diff Films is our very own production branch which is going from strength to strength. Whether you've made your own blockbuster or never touched a camera before, Diff Films provides a unique opportunity to have a go at making films either for fun or for submission to film festivals. All equipment and basic training is provided and there are many opportunities to get involved with creating films throughout the year and even have your own movie ideas turned into reality. Diff Films meetings are held every Thursday night 8-10pm in the Student Union, follow Diff Films on Facebook for details and location of each meeting.

In a nutshell, we’re a super friendly society that loves to get involved in all things film and have a laugh while we’re at it. And all of that for just £8 membership for the year!
