Interested in learning rockets, arduino projects, battlebots or RC aircraft? That’s what we do. Pretty cool innit? We’re open to anybody regardless of experience or tech background. We are always open to new projects and suggestions so bring your best ideas.
This year our main project will involve working as a team to design and build a rocket to compete in the UKSEDs student rocketry competition, along with an electrical payload. More information about this competition can be found here. On top of this we will be running a number of projects such as a combat robotics competition and building rc planes. If you have your own ideas, then we have the facilities to help you out too!
We have access to the University Maker Hub and their machine equipment like 3D printers and laser cutters.
Just turn up! Our meetings run every Wednesday from 13:00-16:30 in the main electronic lab in the East queens building. It's the one with all the computers and oscilloscopes. You can’t miss it!
Membership is only £10 per person, as this will give us enough funding to make sure that the society can run smoothly, and we can run interesting projects.
Membership fees are not refundable. In the case that a paid event is cancelled you will be contacted and refunds will be processed within a resonable timeframe.
