Trauma is currently under-represented in the undergraduate medical curriculum. As a medical student, you have to take responsibility of our own learning, therefore is important for you to improve your knowledge on trauma cases in order to manage patients effectively.
The aims of our society is to:
a) Promote awareness of the importance of trauma in the medical curriculum thereby increasing exposure during training and in addition, meet clinicians and academics.
b) Allow those with keen interest in trauma to build contacts and learn more about a career in the field.
c) Raise public awareness of preventable cases such as most road traffic accidents
There will be a number of events and activities lined up for CUTS members, including fundraising for charities organised by our team! Our vision is to bring together medical students interested in pursuing trauma as a career, increasing our understanding and learn more about the field.
