GeoPlan Society

GeoPlan Society

Welcome to Cardiff University GeoPlan Society! The society is open to all Geography and Planning students from all years.

We are a student-led society aiming to improve your university experience in and out of lectures.  We understand that managing your degree and your social life can be difficult at times, especially when first moving to university.  We organise loads of social events throughout the year that cater to all social groups, including the end of year ball that has previously been held in Cardiff Museum, in the  Principality Stadium, Portland House and The Mercure. The society also has two sports teams (netball and football) which are open to all and we regularly play in fixtures in the IMG leagues.

This year we are hoping to get a closer link between the society and the academic School of Geography and Planning so we can host some events focussed on employability.

So please follow us on Twitter and join the group on Facebook so you can keep up to date with events and socials throughout the year.  These are also places that are useful for asking questions to your fellow students whether it be about socials or university work.

There are many benefits of becoming a member of the society, they include:

  • Cheaper ball tickets (a non-member ticket will be more than the price of membership and a ticket together).
  • Being able to join our sports teams.
  • Regular e-mails with information about socials and employability events.
  • The ability to run in elections to be part of the committee and have a say in the running of the society.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our socials soon!

Please log in to view the committee.
