Cardiff Anime Society brings together anime and manga fans in a range of different ways. We run screenings every Friday of both movies and anime series, starting this year members will be given the chance to vote on what is screened through a vote on our Discord! Finally, every Wednesday we host either a Japanese/Anime themed workshop or a general social for chatting and gaming (feel free to bring your own console!). The Japanese themed workshop events will range from drawing, to origami, to anime quizzes. This year we are planning a trip to Birmingham MCM in November! We will also be hosting bigger events such as seasonal events like a Christmas party, as well as fundraising events such as cosplaying competitions. We try to run as many of our events as possible in collaboration with other University societies to give our members as much of a chance as possible to meet new people and gain new skills.
We welcome anyone with an interest in anime or manga, or even just Japan and its culture; you do not need to be an avid fan to join, as we have members with all levels of knowledge about anime.
