Hi, we’re CyberSoc!
A renowned platinum-tier society and the place for all things coding and tech at Cardiff University. We aim to be a key-part of student life for Computer Science and Software Engineering students, but we’re always keen to welcome in students from other courses.
You can expect a variety of talks, workshops, hackathons, and socials from various large organisations like AWS & Bipsync as well as smaller local start-ups. These events look great on your CV. Employers have frequently cited demonstration of passion for the fields and willingness to learn as top factors in the recruitment decision-making process. On top of that these events offer great networking opportunities and a chance for you to learn vital skills for your future careers. Did we mention these events are free and often involve pizza?
Don’t worry, a lot of our events are beginner friendly, and we’re always on hand to help you get started. We all started knowing nothing too.
