What should every international student know once they arrive in Cardiff? This page provides information to help you settle into your new home in Wales.
Housing
As you move out into private housing, it’s important that you do your due diligence. When it comes to your landlord, you should check if they are registered with Rent Smart Wales. This will let you know whether the landlord has a licence to let the property out, any agents associated with the property, if the property has an Energy Performance Certificate, and more. Knowing this information beforehand can prevent any problems happening later down the line!
We also have our Housing Help campaign page, which can give you guidance if you do end up having issues in your house. We have email templates for multiple different situations, so you can professionally correspond with your landlord on a range of issues.
