AU Executive Committee
Pwyllgor Gweithredol yr UA
We want all members of the Students’ Union to be able to get involved and shape the work that we do. One of the ways you can get involved is through the elected officers' executive committees or networks.
Rydym am i bob aelod o Undeb y Myfyrwyr allu cymryd rhan a llunio’r gwaith a wnawn. Un o’r ffyrdd y gallwch gymryd rhan yw trwy bwyllgorau gweithredol neu rwydweithiau’r swyddogion etholedig.
Each Sabbatical Officer has an executive committee which is designed to shape and support their work. This could include supporting them in the development of policy, running outreach activity, or simply putting on events and activities students want to see.
Mae gan bob Swyddog Sabothol bwyllgor gweithredol sydd wedi’i gynllunio i lunio a chefnogi eu gwaith. Gallai hyn gynnwys eu cefnogi wrth ddatblygu polisi, cynorthwyo mewn gweithgareddau allgymorth, neu helpu i gynnal digwyddiadau a gweithgareddau ar gyfer myfyrwyr.
The AU Executive Committee is made up of 15 members, 6 directly elected through a cross-campus ballot, and 9 selected by the Vice President Sports and Athletic Union President. All Members of the AU Executive Committee must be members of the Athletic Union.

In the first meeting of the academic year, Molly Elliott (VP Sports) provided an update on what she has been up to since beginning the role, and the executive committee discussed what they will help Molly with during the year. The committee also raised any issues they have been experiencing.
Yng nghyfarfod cyntaf y flwyddyn academaidd, rhoddodd Molly Elliott (Is-lywydd Chwaraeon) ddiweddariad ar yr hyn y mae wedi bod yn ei wneud ers dechrau'r rôl, a thrafododd y pwyllgor gweithredol yr hyn y byddant yn helpu Molly ag ef yn ystod y flwyddyn. In the second meeting of the academic year, the executive committee appointed two members to attend the accountability panel. They also discussed Fight Night, AU Awards, AU Council/Forum, Varsity, Conference Cup Finals and general queries.
Yn ail gyfarfod y flwyddyn academaidd, penododd y pwyllgor gweithredol ddau aelod i fynychu'r panel atebolrwydd. Fe wnaethant hefyd drafod Noson Ymladd, Gwobrau’r UA, Cyngor/Fforwm UA, Varsity, Rowndiau Terfynol Cwpan y Gynhadledd ac ymholiadau cyffredinol.

In the third meeting of the academic year, the executive committee appointed two members to attend the accountability panel. They also discussed AU Awards, Varsity, club of the month, campaigns including rainbow laces, Period Dignity and Women's Month, elections, room booking clashes and finances.
Yn nhrydydd cyfarfod y flwyddyn academaidd, penododd y pwyllgor gweithredol ddau aelod i fynychu'r panel atebolrwydd. Fe wnaethant hefyd drafod gwobrau’r UA, Varsity, clwb y mis, ymgyrchoedd gan gynnwys lesys enfys, Urddas Mislif a Mis y Menywod, etholiadau, problemau archebu ystafelloedd a chyllid.

As mentioned above, there are two ways to successfully be appointed to the AU Executive Committee. You can either opt to run in the Autumn Elections process and be elected via cross campus ballot, or apply via the selection process.
