Your Voice

 
Cardiff Students’ Union is led and directed by you, its 30,000+ student members. All Cardiff University students automatically become members of the Union when they enrol for their degree. The Union works consistently to ensure that every student has opportunities to raise their voice through debate, providing feedback, and suggesting ideas.
 
Your Union works closely with the University to ensure you are represented at every level, and can engage with representation processes in different ways. There are four main areas in Student Voice:
 
Democracy: The team run annual elections to find the next set of student leaders, as well as supporting Student Senate and Scrutiny Committee in making sure every student is being fairly represented. 

 

Campaigns: Student Voice support the elected Sabbatical and Campaign Officers in running campaigns that improve the experience for your Cardiff community.

 

Academic Representation: Every programme has a Student Academic Representative who volunteers to speak on behalf of the cohort. Student Voice facilitate this system, and ensure Student Academic Representatives have appropriate ways to provide feedback to staff in their school.

 

Policy: As well as supporting Student Senate in reviewing and debating policies, the team also facilitate the Annual General Meeting - a forum where any student can put forward a motion for debate, and vote towards the direction of the Students' Union.

Mae Undeb Myfyrwyr Caerdydd yn cael ei arwain a'i gyfarwyddo gennych chi, ein 30,000+ o aelodau myfyrwyr. Mae holl fyfyrwyr Prifysgol Caerdydd yn dod yn aelodau o'r Undeb yn awtomatig pan fyddant yn cofrestru ar gyfer eu gradd. Mae'r Undeb yn gweithio'n gyson i sicrhau bod pob myfyriwr yn cael cyfleoedd i godi eu llais trwy drafod, rhoi adborth, ac awgrymu syniadau.
 
Mae eich Undeb yn gweithio'n agos gyda'r Brifysgol i sicrhau eich bod yn cael eich cynrychioli ar bob lefel, ac yn gallu ymgysylltu â phrosesau cynrychiolaeth mewn gwahanol ffyrdd. Mae pedwar prif faes o fewn Llais y Myfyriwr:
 
Democratiaeth: Mae'r tîm yn cynnal etholiadau blynyddol i ddod o hyd i'r set nesaf o arweinwyr myfyrwyr, yn ogystal â chefnogi Senedd y Myfyrwyr a'r Pwyllgor Craffu i sicrhau bod pob myfyriwr yn cael ei gynrychioli'n deg.  

 

Ymgyrchoedd: Mae Llais Myfyrwyr yn cefnogi'r Swyddogion Sabothol ac Ymgyrchu etholedig i gynnal ymgyrchoedd sy'n gwella profiadau eich cymuned yng Nghaerdydd.

 

Cynrychiolaeth Academaidd: Mae gan bob rhaglen Gynrychiolydd Academaidd Myfyrwyr sy'n gwirfoddoli i siarad ar ran y garfan. Mae Llais Myfyrwyr yn hwyluso'r system hon, ac yn sicrhau bod gan Gynrychiolwyr Academaidd Myfyrwyr ffyrdd priodol o roi adborth i staff yn eu hysgol.

 

Polisi: : Yn ogystal â chefnogi Senedd y Myfyrwyr i adolygu a thrafod polisïau, mae'r tîm hefyd yn hwyluso'r Cyfarfod Cyffredinol Blynyddol - fforwm lle gall unrhyw fyfyriwr gyflwyno cynnig i'w drafod, a phleidleisio tuag at gyfeiriad Undeb y Myfyrwyr.
